About the venue

Since it first started out as a bakery cum café in Greenside in 2002, the Doppio Zero brand has expanded significantly both in Gauteng and more recently in the Western Cape. Green Point is the 12th store in the group, and what a location it is - within walking distance of the new stadium. Clearly visible on the main road, with its café style tables and quaint broekie lace facade, there is parking right outside the door too. Whilst there are certain similarities that have the look and feel of the other Doppio stores, the décor combines modern and old fashioned features to create an interesting interior. Here you will find a Victorian style pressed ceiling, a wood panelled bookcase and imposing wrought iron lamps, sitting comfortably alongside a sleek granite bar, and chrome and leather light fittings. Various styles of tables and chairs demarcate the different seating areas – the bar, the lower main dining area and the upper lounge cum library. There is also a private dining room which can accommodate up to 12 diners and doubles up as a conference room if required.
