Ive been to a party where myself and a buddy dressed up as Mario and Luigi with mushroom hats…We thought it would be nice to have some mushrooms because they do actually give you a “1 UP” (Extra Life)…! =)
Those performers with those amazing wings and stilts always blow me away. They where so epic at the last Alien

as for myself, I’m not gonna go all out that much but have a few special , silly masks that should put smiles on a few peoples faces on the DF

I will be dressed as Moonshine. I will be dressed in a metallic, shiny, one piece reflecting love, joy, light and happiness to all corners of the dance floor. I will also be offering people free hugs and one liners of wisdom and good luck to anyone who rubs my stomach 3 times or taps their toes from side to side at me and shouts ” Moonshine share with me your love”.

I wouldnt pinpoint one suit but simple things like the sumo dude at origin looked funny and the people pulling faces, jaw clenching and tweaking out resemble some crazy aliens. Really dig it when they bring those big dragon things and the people walk around each holding a stick supporting it. Im gonna be wearing a 2 man colourful cow suit with lights on!
Dressed as Marvin The Martian from Looney Toons be my idea for this one.. Best Ive seen is a glow in the dark banana suite!

The best i have seen was at Alien Safari in 2010. That dragon just BLEEEEEEW me away!! I couldn’t believe what i was seeing!! And it looked so awesome with the fire dancers!! And the lights! That was just pure awesomeness!!
I’ve never been to a masqued ball. And would really like to go, but since pay day for me is only at the end of every month, tickets would be super duper double awesome!
I have a full skeleton outfit that i would probably where if i go to Alien. That always freaks people out

At my 1st masqued ball (at liefland, stellenbosch) there was this guy with a mask on the front and back of his head. it was those really plain white ones! I found it to be quite scary but also mesmerizing as it pretty much skrews with your mind at that moment. so this year I will be wearing a mask with a different but it wont freak people out, it will aid in their happiness on the dancefloor! amped!
Well this is what I want to wear! Don’t know how many of you have watched Summer Heights High (its a series) In the one episode Mr G wears a pink stocking like sock over his entire body and does a little act for his drama class. . . i intend on making self a full body stocking sock to enjoy on the Dance floor and for every one else’s entertainment but I don’t have the funds yet so if i win a ticket i can use my ticket money to make my outfit.
So please help my full body stocking sock / Full body mask for Masqued Ball come true!
Also my friends having his birthday there and I don’t have funds for my outfit and a ticket to jol with him on his birthday
my idea is….a few of us shud dress up in medi evil attire.and when the clock strikes 12 we battle….so you think you can dance style.in medi evil attire.
The best outfit I’ve ever seen at a trance party was this couple dressed in space suits – literally astronaut suits – stomping and jumping around like they were explorers on the moon… pretty sure they were close to the moon though, if you get my drift
I have so many ideas for costumes!!! Ninja turtle, a gnome, an avatar, a giant drinking cup!! SO many options…. but I’m leaning towards a

it was some time last year
i was raving away with a pink flaming flamingo ?! she looked amazing in an all shades of pink spandex suit with just her face revealed (with sunnies though) and a long line of big pink feathers ran from the top of her head down her spine

Well ive seen some pretty crazy stuff on the dancefloors of these parties but im sure they dont all have a storey like THIS behind them:
One weekend myself and my Best mate were lank upset about spending our money during the week , that we couldnt attend that weekends party.. we had nothing else to do that saterday so i decided we should take my sister up on this promo job she had been asking me to do . .. little did we know the job entailed us getting into flippen Banana In Pijama outfits ! i was not too impressed but my mate said it would be “sick” … after all, our faces were hidden.
After a full day of humiliation , selling childrens dvds we were ready to call it a day
MUCH to our enjoyment, my sister paid us each double what we were origianally told we were getting… she told us we were great sports and we can return the costumes the following day…
But we had enough money for the party… and we had AWSOME costumes on
u can guess what happened next..
Had the most amazing and fun filled sunday jam ever with those BIP suites !
they got trashed never the less !
Was at a party a while ago and saw Vishnu just kind of ambling around the dancefloor : NOTE – Vishnu is a Hindu deity that is blue-skinned, kind of like a smurf.

I have seen many an interesting outfit but i rate the best to come will be.. me..
i plan to assemble something so beautiful and majestic that it will blow the stomping arena of the Cape away. This can only be brought forth by the many personalities that reside within me. The combination of mesmerizing materials and colours will bring those around me into another realm they could never have fathomed. I look forward to including my soul and body into this years Masqued Ball! Masks preferable
There are so many different costumes one could wear, but its so hard to pick one which can really express the experience that this event is about to deliver. I was thinking of picking a cartoon character which best describes my friends and people at trance parties in general. This is why I came up with the charater REX from toystory, Rex is always loyal to his friends and will help them out in situations no matter what. He always sees the Fun and bright side in life and always know how to make other characters laugh. I really think REX is the best option.

The best outfits ive seen would be 3 guys dressed as the storm troopers from star wars at rezonance 2010/2011, the guy with the bright blue spandex outfit covering everything but his eyes or the couple in the bunny suits at easter vortex….

People have worn some craaaazy outfits over the years, which adds to the exciting, entertaining, creative, intriguing, mystical and magical nature of the trance scene…. from huge, visuallyelectrifying dragons, to intricate masks and costumes that immitate characters familiar fictional characters – it’s hard to choose one that stands out, as they all make a generous statement! I personally love when people use body art as their outfit, and it’s hard to tell whether what they are wearing is really just paint and glitter… it always seems as though a lot of effort has gone into achieving the art that they are wearing, so this year, I am going to try and attempt wearing body paint
My hair will be green and tangled, I will be wearing a crown made from colourful flowers, there will be flovers between my toes, and I will be wearing a bikini made from feathers and leaves… other than that, my body will be painted and glittery…. this is the most daring I’ve gone so far :/ But I’m so excited to feel freeeee and not worry about the heat – should be nice and cool 
Cannot wait to see what everyone else appears as!!! should be a treat!
The best outfit i can think of was a girl who painted herself all black but then on her tummy she had lumo red, orange and green strips in a circle that made up her “battery pack” display… and when i saw her at the start of the night she was on like 2 bars and whenever i saw her throughout the night she’d powered up …gaining more bars… until the peak of the evening when she had FULL ENERGY and her tum was glowing!

I have 3 very good ideas . Firstly ( and my favourite idea) is 3 of my friends will make\hire a chinese dragon and if we win we will split the prize.
Second idea took a lot of imagination, I will dress up as a giant ball wearing a mask ( masqued ball) .
Thirdly . If worst comes to worst and I have absolutely ‘nobucks’ then I will make a sick outfit from plastic bags and sew fruit onto it so I can replenish fellow alien safariens.
Oops . A little mistake in my previous comment – 2 of my friends and I will be making\hiring a chinese dragon. Although , watching 3 of my friends making a chinese dragon and me getting a part of the prize would also be pretty decent!

One year i came as a glow in the dark angel, which worked really well…Although it wasn’t as extreme as my buddy the sexy alien who went to a party in underwear, body paint and peacock feathers. Please give me a chance to up my game this year. I want to dress up and go play so much.xxxxx
I’m so impressed with the people who are dressed up in those full coloured suits that even cover their face! Wow it must get hot in that. You can’t help just to stare and wonder who is hiding under the outfit.
Plus the people in animal suits

There was the blue man at one of the Beartrap parties (or was it the Village?) He had no suit on but instead was completely naked (not even boxers) and painted from head to toe completely blue. He was out of his mind and having the time of his life. He got alot of looks and smiles and everywhere he went, he just made people happy, laugh and smile which is exactly what suits at parties should do
he was also hung like a horse….
so ya there have been so many almost too many great, epic, sensual outfits…from storm troopers to yoda to amy putmans “real life gypsy,” the elephant couple at flamjangled to the aussie dressed as a cheerleader at orgin and all i wanted him to do was the “haters gonna hate” priest jump (google it) but what would made me smile the absolute best and YES she may not have been dressed up to the max but looking for “your pirate best friend” is easier than one would expect was my lovely german best stefanie wearing a over sized pirate hat at beartrap standing in the middle of the raging river screaming in old school streaking manner “were going swimming across the river, come everyone” id love that ticket boys…i really would (puppy eyes)
Oh No Bucks
I come to you in my time of trouble. You see, my friends and I have long been planning to join the Masqued Ball festivities as the full ensemble of the Mad Hatter and his tea party. Outfits are set, cars will be filled up, the music will be blarring and I already have my feet stomping to the sound of Earthling in my head. Alice, the Chesire Cat, the caterpillar, the March Hare and even the Queen of Hearts have their tickets in hand but what would the party be without me, the Mad Hatter? I will bring smiles, cold beverages from a plastic teapot and sugar squares of energy to all out there sharing in the love and sunshine of the day.

It was probably at an Alien about 3 years ago when a woman – on stilts might I add – was clothed in the most spectacular white outfit (very fitting for a ball) and… — the twist
— accessorized by a beautiful array of psychedelic decor and jewelry. Her face was painted too and adorned with sparkles. She moved so gracefully, so mystically. I remember being absolutely and utterly awed and enchanted by her. Wow… What an incredible sight she was.
