First off, allow me to apologize on behalf of some (not all) of my ignorant “fans” for their idiotic remarks. Pretty much all of the “fans” making negative remarks about South Africa haven’t even left their mommys basement, let alone be privileged enough to visit South Africa. Having said that, they should be pissed off… theyre going to miss out on the party of a decade.
I dont share their narrow minded views in the very least, in fact, the extreme opposite.
This has been the most anticipated tour i have ever had the pleasure of seeing… ever since i’ve posted the tour announcement, i have NEVER in my 5 years of touring have EVER seen so much excitement for just 3 events. That alone is enough to put a HUGE smile on my face. I cannot fucking wait to get down there and see the sights, meet the people, and rock the venues!

I spent some time in the States a few years ago and met some really cool people but I must say not the most informed, I met one person who could not point South Africa out on a map and another who took me to a tiny little mall to show me what it looked like.

Many comments here depict U.S. citizens to be obese, brainless, etc. While the U.S. has one of the highest obesity rates, I will say that we are not brainless and these type of stereotypical comments are, as I stated before, just as idiotic as the morons that started this.

My point is still valid, but my comparison of South Africa and the United States may not be the most fair. If they would like to compare country with country, then so be it.

Comparing countries is meaningless here because in this context the criteria are all subjective. Your definition of “best” (economic & military power) is not universally shared. The fact is that both SA and the USA have great things to offer to all kinds of people, and nothing to some kinds of people.
Personal beef: this whole “my” country vs. “your” country thing is absurd. You are not the country you were born in. You’re right. I kind of warped I into the United States, I really don’t have any control over it, but I do feel a sense of unification among the entire country. I do feel the need to defend the place I reside in, and so does everyone else on this page.

I Have been employed in the IT administrator environment for 4 years now and has dealt with many foreign country’s not to mention having stepped into the US a couple of times. Every South-African knows that the entire country isn’t as ignorant and uneducated as it might sometimes appear to be. But this isn’t a lack of education as is your views of our country, SA residents are actually witnessing people’s reply’s social network pages across the globe. I’ve witnessed this myself in person while dealing with an American business “executive”. Americans aren’t dumb just arrogant and ego driven which in my personal opinion makes them idiotic in a sense. From a business point of view I’ve never met more intellectual people when it comes to decision making and calculating results/impact etc… But take them away from familiar territory and you’ll see a complete change in this. This is hysterical! I don’t know about the rest of you South Africans, but I myself live in a mud hut, no electricity, and we have to hike 20km everyday to fetch water.
